At Creativity Hood, we believe in the power of art to transform lives. From humble beginnings, our founder's passion for creativity and teaching has blossomed into a thriving community where students of all ages can explore, grow, and express themselves. Our journey has been shaped by a commitment to making art accessible, enjoyable, and a tool for personal growth. Here’s a little taste of how it all began…
Our Story
Creativity Hood has always been an idea in the back of founder Kellie’s mind. From a young age, Kellie was drawn to art, with creativity being her constant muse. Starting her career as a Visual Arts Teacher, Kellie found herself questioning the traditional high school model.

With a background in Holistic Integrated Expressive Art Therapy, Kellie published her own art therapy cards, showcasing her artworks and unique approach to teaching.

“I wanted my students to experience the joy of creating without the pressure of grades,” says Kellie.
Kellie’s lessons prioritise emotional well-being alongside technical skill development, empowering students to express themselves freely. She believes, as Georgia O’Keeffe once said, “I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way—things I had no words for.” Art allows students to discover themselves and connect with their emotions in ways words can’t.
Before launching Creativity Hood, Kellie started tutoring students one-on-one. This experience made her realise there was a need for creative expression in the community, sparking the creation of her classes, which quickly grew into something bigger.
Creativity Hood has also partnered with the OSHO Organisation, NDIS organisations, The Oasis, and Stockland Shopping Centre, broadening its impact and outreach.
Now, with over 100 students and 5 staff members, Creativity Hood has become a hub for creative exploration, offering traditional art skills with a fun, expressive twist.
